Immigration is important to me because I have heard many stories of immigrants and how they got here. Many have lived in the U.S. for many years and have children born here. They are afraid of being separated from them.
My Name es Aneika Nanton, I Was Born In Antigua and spent a few Years St.Vincent. Being an immigrant in America is important to me because I have seen the journey that my mom took in order to provide this opportunity for me to live in America today.
My name is Emmanuel Ruiz, I currently live in Brooklyn, and my parents are both immigrants from Mexico. Part of the reason this issue was so important to me is because I wanted to bring awareness to the traumatic experiences that children crossing the border often have to face, hopefully sparking direction for change.
